2025 WELLINGTON CITY MUNICIPAL ELECTION NOTICE
Pursuant to Section 10-3-301(2)(a) of the Utah Code, notice is hereby given that the Municipal Offices in Wellington, Utah to be voted on in the 2025 Municipal General Election are:
A Primary Election will be held, if necessary, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The General Election will be held on November 4, 2025.
A Wellington City resident who is interested in becoming a candidate must file a Declaration of Candidacy between June 2 and June 6, 2025. Declarations of Candidacy must be filed, in person, with the Wellington City Recorder's Office at Wellington City Hall, 150 West Main Street, Wellington, Utah.

Filing Qualifications
A person filing a declaration of candidacy for a city office must be (per Utah Code Section 20A-9-201 and 203):
Pursuant to Section 10-3-301(2)(a) of the Utah Code, notice is hereby given that the Municipal Offices in Wellington, Utah to be voted on in the 2025 Municipal General Election are:
- Mayor – to be elected at-large to serve a four-year term.
- City Council Members – three (3) council members will be elected at-large to serve a four-year term with the exception that one member will serve a two-year term. The two-year term will be determined by lots immediately following the election canvass. (UCA 10-3b-606(4))

Filing Qualifications
A person filing a declaration of candidacy for a city office must be (per Utah Code Section 20A-9-201 and 203):
- A United States citizen at the time of filing;
- A resident of Wellington City for the 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election (or a resident of an area recently annexed into Wellington City);
- A registered voter.
